Norman Challenges Trump-Backed Graham in South Carolina Senate Race

Rep. Ralph Norman launched his Senate bid July 18, 2026, one day after Trump endorsed interim Senator Darline Graham, sworn in July 14 to fill her late brother Lindsey Graham's seat. The GOP primary is August 11 — about three weeks away. Senators Rick Scott and Mike Lee back Norman, who told CNN he had sought but failed to win Trump's endorsement.
