Rep. Ralph Norman joined the Senate race July 18, 2026 — one day after Donald Trump backed interim Senator Darline Graham, sworn in July 14 to replace her late brother Lindsey Graham. The Republican primary vote is August 11, leaving roughly three weeks to campaign. Senators Rick Scott and Mike Lee support Norman, who told CNN he had wanted but failed to get Trump's backing.
