
Deadly Storms Sweep Across 1,000 km of Chile
Torrential storms across roughly 1,000 kilometers of central and southern Chile have killed at least three and displaced 466 into shelters, disaster agency SENAPRED reports. Over 200 were evacuated, 20 homes destroyed or severely damaged, and 158 residents cut off by floodwaters. More heavy rainfall was expected July 17, prompting schools to suspend classes.
