Uganda Halts All School Trips After Fatal Bus Crash

A bus carrying pupils from King David Junior School crashed July 16, 2026, in Kapchorwa district, killing at least 20 students and founder Tadeo Ssekade. Preliminary findings cite mechanical fault. Uganda has cancelled all school trips nationwide pending investigation. The site, Chekwatit Hill, has a known history of serious accidents.
