
Uganda Stops All School Trips After Deadly Bus Crash
A bus carrying students from King David Junior School crashed on July 16, 2026, in Kapchorwa district, killing at least 20 children and the school's founder, Tadeo Ssekade. Early reports point to a mechanical problem. Uganda has now cancelled all school trips across the country while it investigates. The crash site, Chekwatit Hill, has a history of serious accidents.
