Burnham suggests scrapping inheritance tax to fund social care

Andy Burnham told BBC News he is open to abolishing inheritance tax — the tax paid on a person's estate after death — and instead taxing "the wealthy properly while they are alive." The Greater Manchester mayor previously proposed a 10% levy on estates to fund social care in England, which he calls "broken." Around two million older people there have unmet care needs.
