Unofficial royal flight rule keeps heir and monarch apart, The Sun reports

The custom is unofficial. The Sun reported in 2022 that the heir should never fly on the same plane as the monarch, to protect the line of succession. In 2025 it reported Prince George, second in line, can no longer fly with his father, Prince William. Express reported the pair on a British Airways flight to Barcelona.
