Alien Throne Rock Column in New Mexico Found Broken Into Pieces

The Alien Throne, a rock column on New Mexico's Valley of Dreams trail, was found broken into pieces. Guide Kialo Winters discovered the collapse on 30 October and attributes it to heavy rains tied to a super El Niño season. El Niño is a recurring weather pattern. The Navajo Nation and the Bureau of Land Management are expected to examine the site.
