"Clicky Ponting" banned from cricket until end of 2028 over finger-click trick

Brian Devine, dubbed "Clicky Ponting", has been banned by the England and Wales Cricket Board from all cricket until the end of 2028. The ban covers playing, coaching, umpiring, scoring and managing junior teams. It follows his July 2026 finger-clicking trick, meant to fake a catch appeal in a North Yorkshire and South Durham League match. Devine accepted misconduct charges.
