Texas Governor-Elect Hinojosa Calls for Data Center Moratorium Until January

Texas governor-elect Gina Hinojosa, a Democrat who defeated Republican Greg Abbott, has called for a moratorium, or temporary freeze, on new Texas data centers until the Legislature meets in January to pass protections. This is a stated intent, not an order. She says Texans need "to have a seat at the table" on whether data centers get built.
