Weta FX to invest in Taiwan's Moonshine Studio

Weta FX, the New Zealand visual effects studio behind The Lord of the Rings and Avatar, will invest in Taiwanese animation and VFX studio Moonshine Studio, founded by Lin Chia-chi, Variety reported on 6 November 2026. No figure was given. Weta FX CEO Daniel Seah said the investment had been around six months in the making.
