Finnish Court Sentences Russian Captain Over Baltic Sea Cable Damage

A Helsinki District Court found Russian captain Andrei Maksimenko guilty of damaging undersea cables in the Baltic Sea and sentenced him to three years and six months in prison. The cables carry phone and internet traffic between countries. He captained the Fitburg; its boatswain, a senior deck crew role, was also convicted.
