Wildlife Group Urges UK to Cut Firework Noise Limit to 90 Decibels

The Center for Wild Animal Welfare is calling on the UK government to cut the maximum noise level of consumer fireworks from 120 decibels to 90 decibels, to protect millions of wild animals from acute stress. The group says a lower limit would shrink the area each firework disturbs. The government's July consultation proposed 110 decibels.
