Jean-Claude Van Damme to star in Japan-set yakuza film Katana

Jean-Claude Van Damme will star in Katana, a Japan-set yakuza film, Deadline reported on 4 November. Jeremy Zag, creator of the Miraculous franchise, wrote the screenplay and will direct. Filming is set for April to June 2027 across Japan, France and Los Angeles, produced by Division Z with Japan-based Wowow Bridge. The Veterans is launching it for AFM buyers.
