Democrats Win US House Control in 2026 Midterms, CBS News Projects

Democrats have won control of the US House of Representatives in the 2026 midterm elections, according to a CBS News projection. The result would end Republican control after two years of Donald Trump's second presidency. Other outlets' projections range from at least 218 to at least 248 Democratic seats. A majority is 218 of 435 seats.
