Choice names Ticketmaster and Ticketek 2026 Shonky winners over live-event pricing

Choice gave Ticketmaster and Ticketek Shonky awards, its list of Australia's worst products, for dynamic pricing and 'in demand' seating. It cited a $1,650 'Ultimate' ticket to a John Farnham tribute on Ticketek, and NRL seats priced $50 more than regular seats one row apart on Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster says it does not use surge pricing; prices are set by organisers.
