New Zealand First now propping up the coalition majority

The latest RNZ-Reid Research poll shows New Zealand First at its strongest in nine years, now carrying the National-led coalition's 61-seat majority in Parliament. National dropped 2.1 points to 28.7 percent. For a first-term government a year out from election day, depending on a junior coalition partner rather than its own strength leaves the coalition exposed.
