Senator Sarah Henderson admits wrongly accusing ABC Gaza journalist of Hamas ID card

Liberal senator Sarah Henderson admitted she wrongly accused Roshdi Sarraj, a Palestinian journalist who filed video for the ABC from Gaza, of holding a Hamas ID card. Henderson made the claim at a Senate estimates hearing, citing an Israeli Defence Force report. She says she meant two Al Jazeera journalists. Sarraj was killed in 2023.
