Two US House Republicans ask Smithsonian how it reviews exhibits before they open

Republican House members Tim Burchett of Tennessee and Brian Jack of Georgia have written to Smithsonian Institution Secretary Lonnie Bunch III, asking how the Washington-based museum network reviews exhibits before they open. Their letter says the Smithsonian did not give lawmakers details of its content review at a July 21 hearing. Burchett chairs the subcommittee that raised concerns.
