Netanyahu's Coalition Loses Knesset Majority; Arab Parties Hold Balance

With almost all votes counted, Benjamin Netanyahu's coalition held 53 seats in Israel's 120-seat parliament, the Knesset, short of a majority. Gadi Eisenkot's opposition bloc had 48. The Joint List, an alliance of Arab Israeli parties, and Ra'am won 19 combined, giving them the balance of power. The Knesset is due to be sworn in within 14 days.
