James Paxton Cast in Role His Late Father Was First Planned to Play in Last Train to Fortune

James Paxton, son of Bill Paxton, has been cast in the role his father was originally planned to play in the Western Last Train to Fortune, according to The Hollywood Reporter (Oct. 29, 2026). Bill Paxton died in 2017 after heart surgery. The film is available to rent or buy on Apple TV and other services from Nov. 6.
