Blanchett to attend Tokyo festival, which will screen first shorts from her refugee filmmaker fund

Cate Blanchett will attend the 39th Tokyo International Film Festival, 26 October to 4 November 2026, for programming linked to the Displacement Film Fund, according to the festival. The fund, which she co-founded and leads, supports filmmakers who have been refugees. TIFF will screen five short films from its first round of recipients.
