Dolores Huerta, Co-Founder of the United Farm Workers, Dies at 96
Dolores Huerta, co-founder of the United Farm Workers union and popularizer of the rallying cry "Sí, se puede!" (Spanish for "yes, we can"), died at 96. In 1965 she helped organize the Delano grape strike and a national boycott of table grapes, which led to better wages and conditions for pickers. California marks April 10, her birthday, as Dolores Huerta Day.
