Mercuriadis Plans 20% to 30% Artist Share From the Start, Before Recoupment

Merck Mercuriadis says artists in his planned Hipgnosis Artist Partnerships would receive 20% to 30% of earnings from the start, regardless of recoupment, the point at which an advance is earned back. The split would shift to 80% artist and 20% company after recoupment and return-on-investment targets are met. He described the plan on Oct. 28 at Music Tectonics.
