Austrian outsider artist Josef Hofer dies at 80

Austrian outsider artist Josef Hofer, who signed his works "Pepi", died aged 80 on Friday, October 23, in Ried im Innkreis, Upper Austria, after complications from a lung infection, ARTnews reported. The Paris gallery Christian Berst announced the death. Outsider art is work by artists with no formal training.
