Jay-Z and J. Cole Back Lil Durk's Bail Request in Letters to Federal Judge

Jay-Z and J. Cole have sent letters to a federal judge supporting Lil Durk's bail request, submitted Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026, Billboard reported after obtaining copies. Lil Durk, legal name Durk Banks, was acquitted in September of murder-for-hire charges but remains in custody awaiting a second racketeering trial. Prosecutors oppose release. A bond review hearing is set for Nov. 4.
