MGM+ greenlights supernatural horror series The Black Tapes

MGM+ greenlit The Black Tapes, a supernatural horror series, on 26 October 2026. A greenlight is the formal go-ahead to make a series. Based on the 2015 horror podcast, it casts Sosie Bacon, set to star opposite Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, according to Variety. Production is scheduled to begin in January 2027 in Vancouver. No premiere date has been announced.
