UK Government Announces £15m Fund to Tackle Misogyny
The UK government will give £15m to a fund to tackle misogyny, meaning hostility towards women, in workplaces, schools and public places. Women and equalities minister Bridget Phillipson will lead it. The announcement was made amid concerns about the 'manosphere', online communities centred on masculinity. Chancellor John Healey is expected to confirm it in the 28 October Autumn Budget.
