Canada and EU debate name for closer ties ahead of Montreal summit

Canada and the European Union hold a summit in Montreal on Oct. 29 and 30. EU officials say the name for Canada's relationship with the bloc is still debated. Reportedly including Germany, some member states object to the term "associate member" in the summit communiqué. Prime Minister Mark Carney has said Canada does not intend to join the EU.
