Harry Kane wins Ballon d'Or, first Englishman since Michael Owen in 2001

Harry Kane has won the Ballon d'Or, the award for the best player over the previous season, at a ceremony in London. He is the first Englishman to win it since Michael Owen in 2001, and the first Bayern Munich player since Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in 1981. Kane is the fifth Englishman to win the award.
