Egypt's Parliament Authorizes Military Support for Saudi Arabia Against Houthi Attacks

Egypt's parliament has authorized its military to support the defense of Saudi Arabia against escalating Houthi attacks, with at least two-thirds of lawmakers backing the measure. The Houthis are an armed group in Yemen. The approval gives the military legal authority to act. Cairo says its forces would be for defensive purposes only.
