Judge clears UMG and Sony to depose former Menlo Ventures principal C.C. Gong over deleted Suno post

A Massachusetts federal magistrate judge has allowed Universal Music Group and Sony Music to depose former Menlo Ventures principal C.C. Gong under oath. The questions concern a since-deleted February 26 post saying she had shifted most of her listening to Suno, an AI music service. The deposition must take place within 30 days, by November 25, 2026.
