Carney promises new First Nations measures in Nov. 5 budget

Prime Minister Mark Carney promised new measures and investments for First Nations in the federal budget, due Nov. 5. He made the pledge Oct. 26 at an Ottawa meeting with premiers and First Nations leaders. Alberta Premier Danielle Smith and Quebec Premier Paul St-Pierre Plamondon did not attend, citing other commitments.
