France Fast-Tracks 'Vandals Pay' Bill Making Protesters Liable for Others' Damage

France's government is fast-tracking a 'vandals pay' bill that could make protesters liable for up to €10,000 in damage caused by others if they keep demonstrating nearby or in the same group as those responsible. The Senate was due to debate it in the week of 25 October. The bill also provides for greater use of drones over protests.
