Call of Duty film director says movie will focus on the cost of war

Director Peter Berg says his live-action Call of Duty film will explore the cost of war and its effects on people, not surface-level violence, he told ComicBook. Made for Paramount Pictures with Activision, the film is set in the Modern Warfare universe. Its scheduled cinema release date is 30 June 2028.
