Taiz dialysis centre in Yemen could shut within days, director warns
Dr Essam Mahyoub Dahan, director of the dialysis centre at the Republican Hospital in Taiz, Yemen, warned it could shut completely within days. The centre serves 270 patients who need dialysis, a blood-filtering treatment. Sessions were cut from four to two and a half hours, citing the Houthi siege and shortages of diesel and medical solutions.
