Macron Calls Trappes Shooting a "Racist Terrorist Attack"

French President Emmanuel Macron called the Oct 23 shooting in Trappes, west of Paris, a premeditated "racist terrorist attack" and visited the scene that night. Anti-terrorism prosecutors are investigating whether victims were targeted for their "real or supposed race, ethnicity, nationality or religion." One person was killed and five wounded, including a 12-year-old girl.
