Leonor wears Queen Sofia's Niarchos ruby earrings at Asturias Awards in Oviedo

Princess Leonor wore ruby and diamond earrings belonging to her grandmother, Queen Sofia, at the 2026 Princess of Asturias Awards in Oviedo on 23 October, Hello! magazine reported. The earrings form part of the Niarchos rubies set, created by Van Cleef & Arpels and given to Queen Sofia in 1962 as a wedding gift from Greek shipping tycoon Stavros Niarchos.
