Welsh Rugby Union reports £18m loss for year to June 2026
The Welsh Rugby Union has reported an £18m loss for the year to June 2026, more than double the £7.2m loss the year before. It blamed soaring operating costs, lower ticket sales and reduced fan spending, and forecasts a similar loss of around £16m next year. Chief financial officer Gavin Marshall said the union "can't go on like this".
