South Korea Proposes Military Talks With North Korea Over Border Line

South Korea's defence ministry proposed military talks with North Korea on Friday, October 23, 2026, to jointly confirm the exact location of the land Military Demarcation Line, the military boundary through the Demilitarized Zone. Agenda would also include restoring military communication lines and preventing accidental border clashes. Dates and venues could be discussed through Panmunjom, a border village.
