Former Eminem sound engineer pleads guilty to copyright infringement over unreleased demos

Joseph Strange, a former sound engineer for Eminem, pleaded guilty to one count of criminal copyright infringement, Billboard reported on 22 October 2026. Prosecutors say he stole more than two dozen studio demos and sold them for roughly $50,000 in summer 2024. Sentencing is set for 27 January 2027. The maximum sentence is five years.
