Spotify says AI agents get playback decisions, not listener data

Spotify does not send listener data to AI partners, co-CEO Gustav Söderström said. When an AI agent, software acting on a user's behalf, sends a request, Spotify's own systems reason about it and choose what to play. Spotify integrates with Meta's Muse, ChatGPT and Claude, with Spotify acting as the back end.
