Dutch government websites go offline amid PHP hacking fears
Dutch government websites went offline on Wednesday, 21 October, amid hacking fears linked to two critical flaws in PHP, a programming language widely used to build websites. PHP says the flaws, CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619, could let attackers run commands on affected servers without logging in. Patched versions were released in October 2026. Sky News reported the outage.
