Trump Calls on States to Redraw House Districts Before 2026 Midterms

President Donald Trump has called on state legislatures to redraw congressional district lines in the middle of the decade, before the November 2026 midterm elections. He said redrawing would help Republicans keep control of the House. Republicans hold a 218-214 majority. Indiana and South Carolina legislatures rejected the call.
