Newly released files show MI5 spied on Nye Bevan for over 20 years

MI5, the domestic security service, spied on Aneurin "Nye" Bevan, the Labour politician behind the NHS, for more than 20 years, according to newly released files. The papers, given to the National Archives, hold hundreds of documents. The files contain nothing to suggest MI5 tapped his phone or intercepted his post.
