Millions across India mark Dussehra festival

Millions across India are marking Dussehra on Monday, Oct. 19, 2026, one of Hinduism's most widely celebrated festivals. It falls on the 10th day after Navratri, a nine-night festival, and commonly marks Lord Ram's victory over the 10-headed king Ravan. It also starts preparations for Diwali, the festival of lights, held 20 days later.
