Final Fantasy 7 Revelation unlocks Hard Mode from first playthrough

Final Fantasy 7 Revelation will let players select Hard Mode from the start of a first playthrough. Remake and Rebirth locked it until after the story. Director Naoki Hamaguchi said it was reimagined for the new game design. It is scheduled to release on 8 April 2027 for PC, PS5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S.
