Hundreds of St Andrews students hold Raisin Monday foam fight

Hundreds of first-year University of St Andrews students in fancy dress gathered on St Salvator's Lower College Lawn on 19 October 2026 for the annual Raisin Monday shaving-foam fight. The ritual thanks older student mentors; freshers once gave them raisins. Students donated to a food bank first, then fought for half an hour before being hosed down.
