Supreme Court leaves Vetter worldwide termination win in place
The U.S. Supreme Court on Oct. 19 left in place a Fifth Circuit ruling that copyright termination, the U.S. rule letting creators reclaim old transfers, recaptures foreign as well as U.S. rights. The January decision, reported by Billboard, concerned songwriter Cyril Vetter's 1963 song "Double Shot (Of My Baby's Love)." Four justices did not participate.
