Tim Winton's Cloudstreet voted Australia's favourite book

Tim Winton's Cloudstreet has been voted Australia's favourite book in ABC Radio National's nationwide top 100 poll, announced over the weekend. The 1991 novel follows two working-class families sharing a house in postwar Perth over 20 years. It won the Miles Franklin literary prize in 1992. The Book Thief was second, Boy Swallows Universe third.
